더불어 왕실의 권위를 과시하는 상징적인 의미도 있었습니다.

시대의 요구에 발맞춰 최초의 독립 경호전문기관인 ‘대통령경호실’이 창설되었습니다.
현재는 '대통령경호실' 이라는 새로운 이름으로, 역사를 통해 쌓아 온 경험들을 뿌리 삼아 더욱 발전해가고 있습니다.
